As a child, Ondine Bullot did not find the support that some kids found to be able to develop a strong foundation and learn how to ask for help. She dreamed of being an entrepreneur and of going to Japan but she put those dreams aside.
Years later, after a long recovery from a horseback riding accident that left her lying down in pain for several months, she knew things had to change. So she left her corporate job in the energy sector to pursue her childhood dreams.
In 2016, a serendipitous encounter with artist Masahiro Naruse in Kyoto and the growing use of tablets in education sparked the creation of Better Kids, a social impact venture focused on supporting children’s emotional growth through play.
Better Kids helps parents and educators support the social emotional growth of the little humans they care about so deeply. We create digital games, hands-on activities, and interactive workbooks that help children ages 4-8 develop important skills such as self-awareness, social awareness, empathy, and self-management.

“I think Wisdom is empowering because having superpowers is a great thing for children. They love that. It’s a great motivator to get them to learn how to manage their anger.” Juan Diaz, Special Education Teacher
“Some students abruptly do things - they storm out and slam doors. Wisdom helped them recognize the triggers and identify that an emotion was happening, and it gave them the words to describe it.” Pilar Walker, Mental Health Counselor
“I was initially attracted by the read-aloud program and wanted to try it out. I’m impressed that it has that ALL those features. The comprehensiveness is what I find so valuable. I love having the games, worksheets, discussion prompts and curriculum all in one place.” Roni Ford, Counselor
“This app has supported and increased my child's emotional knowledge and emotion regulation skills. I am also a Social Worker who works with children and have used this app to help kids develop their emotional intelligence and manage anxiety or worry.” Simone, Parent and Social Worker
“My daughter had difficulties understanding how to exhale deeply. She enjoyed the Augmented Reality games a lot because they helped her visualize her exhale and now she is able to take deep breaths to feel calmer.” Dawn, Parent
“My son likes the concept of finding his super powers and using them to help when he feels an emotion, such as anger. I believe he will become more successful with finding better solutions to problems that make him feel big emotions as he spends more time with the app, and we continue to discuss the tools in it together.” Erin, Parent
“Overall we LOVE this app and I am very pleased to hear my 7-year old daughter encourage the angry citizens on how to feel better and be positive. I am very thankful that this game is available to us and other parents struggling to find social emotional support for their little ones on the spectrum.” Mary, Parent
Over 270,000 students from more than 1,600 schools have been participating in the social emotional learning read-aloud program included in Wisdom: The World of Emotions.
Thousands of families have used Wisdom: The World of Emotions to support their children’s social emotional growth. Within the app, the most popular game among children is the one where they use their superpowers to teach the citizens how to regulate their big emotions. High retention rates have been observed, thanks to regularly renewed content.
